Privacy Policy
Last updated · 23 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Network-Networth team (“Network-Networth”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use the Network-Networth mobile application (the “App”). Network-Networth is a networking app for entrepreneurs: a live map of nearby people and events, profiles, connections, and direct messages.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account: email address, a password (stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider), username, and full name. Optionally a phone number and date of birth (a phone number, if given, is stored unverified).
- Profile: headline, industry, skills, city and country, bio, portfolio and other links, goals, team status, and a profile photo (avatar) if you upload one.
- Content: direct messages, connection requests, community memberships, event RSVPs, and reports you file about other users or content.
- Communications: messages you send to us for support.
Information collected automatically
- Location (optional): if you opt in to the map, we collect your device location to show you nearby entrepreneurs and events. See “Location” below.
- Device & push: a push-notification token so we can deliver notifications you’ve enabled, and basic device/technical data (such as IP address and app version) processed by our infrastructure providers to operate and secure the service.
- Usage: actions within the App needed to provide features (for example, whom you connect with or which events you RSVP to).
2. How we use your information
- To create and operate your account and profile.
- To power discovery — the nearby map, communities, events, and search.
- To enable connections and direct messages between users.
- To send notifications you’ve enabled (new connection requests, accepted connections, and new messages).
- For safety and moderation — to review reports, enforce our Terms, and block abuse.
- To send you product news, only if you opt in to marketing.
- To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights and users.
3. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
Where GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (to provide the core service), consent (for location sharing and marketing, which you can withdraw at any time), legitimate interests (to keep the service safe and functioning), and legal obligation where required.
4. Location
Location sharing is off by default and entirely opt-in. You control your visibility (everyone, connections only, or hidden). When you are visible:
- Your coordinates are fuzzed on our servers (offset by roughly 300–500 metres) before other users ever see them. We never share your precise coordinates with other users.
- Positions older than 24 hours are excluded from the map.
- You can change your visibility or turn location off at any time in the App, and you can revoke the location permission in your device settings.
5. How your information is shared
- With other users: your profile information, and your fuzzed location if you opt in, are visible to other users according to your settings. Messages are shared with the recipient.
- With service providers who process data on our behalf:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage (hosted in the EU, Frankfurt region).
- Expo — delivery of push notifications.
- Google Maps — map tiles and rendering.
- For legal reasons — if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Network-Networth, our users, or the public.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
6. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile and associated personal data are removed (see below). Some records may be retained where required by law or to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
7. Your rights & choices
- Delete your account at any time from the App (Profile → Settings → Delete account). This permanently removes your profile, connections, messages, memberships, and other associated data.
- Access, correct, or export your data — edit your profile in-app, or contact us for a copy.
- Block and report other users or content directly in the App.
- Withdraw consent — turn off location sharing or marketing at any time.
- If you are in the EEA/UK, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any right, email info@networthk.com.
8. Security
We protect your data with row-level security in our database (each user can only access what they’re permitted to), encryption in transit, and least-privilege access for backend operations. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
9. Children
Network-Networth is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International transfers
Your data is primarily processed in the EU (Frankfurt). Where data is transferred internationally by our providers, appropriate safeguards are applied.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the App.
